The design intent of the AFO is to be able to morph to the 3d scan it is fitted on, therefore the AFO is symmetrical in a standard state.
The MJF 3D printing technology allows us to explore different methods of improving our products like weight reduction, part complexity, variable structural reinforcements, and complex styling. Something that note possible or costly for regular manufacturing processes.
The AFO is designed to integrate the Tamarack hinges.
To reduce weight and add an aesthetic look. We have integrated lattice patterns on select areas of the bodies without compromising structural integrity. This can also speed up the 3d printing process.
