Our mission is to find new ways we can recycle, reuse and repurpose used plastics. We give them new life by shredding the plastics and molding them into a new product.
The backrest and seat are made from shredding HDPE. The bits are then placed on the heated sheet press to mold a flat sheet of plastic. It takes about 5 mins for the sheet to cool down therefore we use this time to place the sheet on the mold press, taking the shape of the backrest or the seat.
We are also exploring different products to sell to the public to fund our research and develop machines to facilitate the manufacturing process.
